Just some crafts

So I have actually managed to do some crafty projects the last few weeks. Instead of holding Rose for 4 hours after the other girls go to bed, I have only been holding her for about 2-3. Progress :) Anyway here are a few projects I worked on with my newly found hour of freedom.

I participated in my first craft fair! It was not as monetarily rewarding as I hoped, but I made a profit and it was fun. Tyler watched the girls, so it was also a little vacation.  I didn't have any bags for people who were going to purchase my necklaces. I make boxes for the people that order them on Etsy, but they are a lot of work. I didn't want to buy bags, so I made these...

They are super easy and I used one of the many outdated dictionaries I have lying around (I also make pendants with the dictionary paper). I thought they turned out cute, and if I had a Pinterest account, I would maybe even post them ;)

The second project was this flower thingy. I have always wanted a window pane, but alas, the only one I ever bought was knocked over in a storm, the glass shattered, and then it was lost in a move :( Woe is me. Anyway, I spray painted a gold frame I've had since middle school, white, and stuck some twigs and flowers in it- close enough to a window pane right?

The last project was a little bit bigger and lets be honest, beyond what I thought I had time or resources for. It turns out, not so!  This ended up being my favorite. I recovered the piano bench that came with my free piano. I am not one for complicated procedures, so I used thumb tacks. They were inexpensive, quick, and uncomplicated :) my thumb is still swollen, but I just love it. My room needed a little more clutter, I mean color!

Here is the before.....

And here is after.....

Lastly, the whole room....

  1. Those all look great! I thought the picture frame was little until I saw it in the whole room, and your piano bench cover is *definitely* an improvement.

  3. Those bags are phenomenal! I bet your customers loved them. The tape is cool too! And the bench turned out great, I like the colors. Definitely looks like it belongs in your house!

  4. And I must say, that corner of your house is looking very extremely clean and organized... I don't think I could find one such corner in my own house at the moment. PS "William" is really "Amy" as in your sister.
