We have a lot of big changes coming, and I am hoping to keep everyone up to date and informed by trying, yet again, to maintain a blog. I hope that if I take a hiatus, it won’t be as long as the last one.
Big change number 1- We find out on March 16th where we will be moving (in 3 months), planting roots, and where Tyler will be working for the next three years!
Big change number 2- Hopefully in the next few weeks we will have another little girl in the house. I am not due until April 3rd, but I am really hoping for a sooner delivery! Anybody want to guess on the day? If you put a date past my due date, I might have it stricken from the blog, and you might be disowned. Just kidding, kind of.....
Big changes number.. well.. I can’t count that high right now- At the end of May we will be packing, moving, Tyler and Lily will be graduating (not both from med school of course but Med school and Kindergarten respectably), and hopefully we will be on a whirlwind family tour to our new destination, stopping at as many loved ones houses as time allows.
Since it has been so long I thought I would also share some family pictures and a few quirks about the girls!

Lily is really into pink right now. She wears about 5 shades a day when she gets home and changes out of her uniform. One day she had two shirts, leggings, a skirt and socks, all different shades of pink. However to keep things balanced she has been obsessing and saving for build-a-bear dinosaurs and watching Prehistoric Park with Tyler. She also loves and excels at math, but still prefers us to read to her- we are working on that.

Ivy! She is so funny. She is really into making faces. She loves making people laugh and saying silly things. She also has to do EVERYTHING on her own, which means getting in and out of the car, getting dressed, getting food, fixing things, all take about triple the time they used to. She loves dresses and skirts and changes about 3 times a day. She loves singing her ABC’s, but of course doesn’t want help singing it, and the darn “LMNOP” part always gets her muddled.

Lastly- because this is getting long- and I know I already lost my sister :) The girls newest game has been keeping track of the traffic lights. I blew a kiss at one, that I could tell was turning green, didn’t slow down, and it turned green right before we got there. Lily was convinced I was magic and she and Ivy have been trying to duplicate the effect. Every light Ivy is blowing her little cheeks out, blowing kisses, and trying everything to make that light turn, it doesn’t matter that it takes 2 minutes, she still thinks she is the reason it turns green. When Lily is in the car it gets even better, she tries clapping, clicking, patting, and kisses until it turns green. So at a traffic light they are quite a sight, and I am waiting for it to get old, but I hope it doesn’t!!!

A big thanks to Ameilia Southworth- who took our pictures. She took them back at the end of December and they are great!
An insightful commentary on a wonderful and beautiful family. However, I need to put in a plug for the artistic, generous, and intuitive mother of this wonderful family, my daughter Sarah. Congratulations Tyler, you have finished med school, a great accomplishment, and we know it took a lot of hard work and long hours. Sarah and Tyler, you make a great team!
ReplyDeleteWe are so pleased to be part of your lives and anxiously await all of the events to come.
Love, Mom
Such great pictures! I love all of them! I can't wait to see you guys in a couple months. I'm going to guess the last day of March for your new baby girl. That is pretty safe, right?
